45/50 on HoM - Can I Complete It With 220 Ectos & 200k?
HoM Calc - http://hom.guildwars2.com
I'm currently 45/50 in the Hall of Monuments reward calculator thing therefore I'm 5 points off the final Hall of Monuments reward which gives the 'Champion of the Gods' title in GW2. The only thing that I haven't completed is the 'Honor' section. I'm currently 13/18, as shown in the screenshot below. I am currently down to my last 220 Ectos & 200k gold. I was wondering if you guys think it's possible with this amount of money to get the last 5 required points in the Honor section of HoM, so that I can get 50/50. Thanks. |

It depends on how much time you're willing to put into it. If you're willing to do a bunch of capping, vanqing, and mapping, then yes, you have more than enough. If you want to pay for someone to do all that, I think it'll be very tight.
I'm pretty sure the cheapest option is to get: eotn reputation titles (3) master of the north (1) guardian (3) vanq (4) carto (4) elite skills (3) fortune (1): afk on nine rings survivor (1) any consumable title (1): non-spam tonics are cheap and much easier to spam than morale sweets, so I'd go for party Edit: I think it ultimately comes down to how much time 50/50 is worth to you. I decided to finally go for gwamm, and vanqing is fast these days with 7 heroes, but it still takes a while to get through everything. Last edited by Pyrthas; Apr 14, 2012 at 05:05 AM // 05:05.. |

What I've been thinking of doing is going for survivor by hoaring books and then turning them all in at once. Maybe you could do that to max your EotN titles, and/or Luxon/Kurzick titles (remember lux+kurz you only need r4 for, which is 550,000 *spent* faction) as well as getting survivor. Could cut down a lot of farming.

Are you asking "can it be done?" or are you asking "can it be done before GW2 is released?". Yes to the former, possibly not to the latter. Cartog, vanq and skill hunting take a lot of time (although you can do them together to a point). It isn't about the money, it's the time. Just do it and go back every now and then to finish it off. The rewards continue after GW2 goes live. So even if you don't make 50/50 on the release date you aren't prevented from getting it.

i'd go ahead and say with ease.
Dwarf, Asura, Ebon, party. Those are all easy to max. you can afford to buy the party one, and the others can be done via VQing/speedbooking. edit: mistook hero for slayer. |

I would agree with time being the issue rather than the money. Vanquishing can get you quite a bit of money through the rewards and all of the drops.

Indeed I was actually hoping to complete it before GW2 was released, therefore I was looking for the absolute quickest way possible really.
Thanks for the tips guys. |

I am trying to put on a cheap vanquishing service (especially for 8 man areas). Just a guesstimate, but going with me could cost you around 1210K for all three campaigns. If you are interested in vanquishing with me, I could work something out where we take turns afking. Then you would also get paid for doing some of the vanquishes. Anyway, hope that helps.
